Community Insurance Center, Inc., was founded in 1962 by the late Olympian and Congressman, Ralph H. Metcalfe. The agency was incorporated to do business under the name Community Center Insurance Agency, Inc., operating in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Milton E. Moses joined the agency in July 1965, and rose to president in 1968. Community Insurance Center, Inc. acquired Campbell, Dawson, Metcalfe, Harvey, and Holman, Inc., at the time these names represented the black political power in Chicago. For its first fifteen years of operation, Community Insurance Center was located in a basement office at 4803 S. Wabash. The view from the basement did not obstruct the skyward vision of the agency's direction.

Community Insurance Center, Inc. has grown to become the largest minority insurance brokerage in the Midwest. Our company has developed business relationships with many Fortune 500 companies, which has included: Amoco, Beatrice Companies (formerly Esmark), and others. The firm is licensed in 20 States and maintains a well trained, professional staff  servicing at insurance consultant without consultant fees. Our goal is to provide  total  insurance coverage for all your needs.

Under Mr. Moses leadership, Community Insurance Center, Inc., enters the new millennium with a full  understanding of the challenges  facing the insurance purchasing public.  In the 21st Century  Community Insurance Center, Inc., is  fully expanding  its mission to  internet users and consumers, by "providing the maximum amount of protection, at the least expense, with coverage and service rendered in the shortest period of time". The president of  Community announced the creation and implementation of  strategies to focus on continued  growth and innovation in the areas of personal and commercial insurance   protection, public entities and consumer advocacy which is an ongoing effort towards improving the quality of consumer protection through legislative efforts, with   participation, both on the state and federal level.
