Misfortune can strike anyone - anywhere. If there were a fire, would you be able to replace your furniture, clothing , and belongings.....?

And who would take care of your extra living expenses (such as hotel accommodations) if a fire forced you and your family to move into temporary quarters:

Who would guard you against liability claims if a visitor were accidentally hurt in your home, or if a family member caused damage to someone else's property? And who would provide medical payments for injury to others even if you're not at fault?

Protect yourself against these and a wide range of other perils with Renters Insurance from Community Insurance, an affordable package of protection specially designed to fill your needs.

To make the most of your Renters Insurance.....

*Keep an inventory of your personal property. room by room, noting the original cost and date of purchases, where known. This will be extremely useful should you have to file a claim.

*Take a photographic inventory of your rooms' contents, This visual reminder of your possessions has many uses...as a detailed record of insurance claims, or for the recovery of stolen items.

* Your valuable items (such as jewelry, stamp or coin collections, artwork, and antiques) should be appraised by certified dealers. Keep the record of appraisal in a safe place off the premises, such as in a bank safe deposit box. A certified appraisal is your best proof of actual value.

*When you're away from home for any length of time, take steps to make your home look occupied so as to discourage burglars. Leave a light on, shades partially open, and have a friend or neighbor remove newspapers from your doorstep. In snowy climates, arrange to have your walks shoveled if it snows while you're away.
